*bashes head against wall* Listening to all these Tories talking about the mandate given to them by the public as justification for not having a general election now.
Since they were given that mandate they’ve mishandled the Covid pandemic, devastated the NHS, crashed the economy and turned us into an international laughing stock by electing increasingly useless wreckers to our executive branch.
Is it really not conceivable to them that the mood of the public towards them may well have changed and invalidated that mandate after a pretty seismic couple of years.
Meanwhile they drag us through them having the same reheated argument they haven’t managed to find an answer to since Brexit… whilst dangling Disaster Johnson over our heads yet again.
I mean I’m not a huge fan of Keir Starmer or the current make up of the Labour Party but, goodness sake, I’ll take weak arse neoliberalism with a pink tinge over whatever the fuck the Tory party has become at this point.
